Blessed to be a Blessing: 600 families receive gifts from TSKI
As many as 600 families coming from 10 communities received early Christmas gifts from Taytay Sa Kauswagan, Inc. in a Gift Giving Activity held last December 23, 2011.
The event was participated by employees coming from TSKI and OK Bank. Joining with them were members of TSKI Board of Trustees, spearheaded by Chairman Demy P. Sonza and Executive Director Angel De Leon, Jr.
The communities were pre chosen, in which the employees were divided into ten groups, bringing with them gifts and cheers to celebrate the festive event.
The chosen barangays were Brgy. Tabuc Suba, Jaro; Paraiso, Cubay, Jaro; Taft North, Mandurriao; Rizal Pala-Pala, City Proper; Jereos, La Paz, South Baluarte, Molo; San Juan, Molo; Cochero, Molo; Calumpang, Molo and Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo.
Beneficiaries were chosen by their respective barangay officials.
The event in the chosen barangays started with an opening prayer followed by games, and gift giving.
Afterwards the employees and staff went off to Sta. Isabel Learning Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo for lunch and Christmas Party.
A representative from each group shared their experiences regarding the activity earlier that day.
The highlight of the organization’s Christmas Party was a raffle draw, where lucky winners had a chance to win various gifts such as gas stoves, gift packs and five brand new pedicabs.
According to Chairman Sonza, unlike the conventional Christmas parties of the organization in the previous years, this year’s festivity was considered simple yet meaningful as each staff had benevolently shared a part of themselves not only to the ten communities but at the same time those who had been struck by typhoon "Sendong" in Cagayan De Oro and Iligan Cities.
